Citizenship Fair

The office of Senator Tony Mendoza is hosting a Citizenship Fair at which assistance will be provided with citizenship applications, passport photos, and immigration questions.

ERUSD Seeks Citizens’ Oversight Committee Applicants for Measure “ER”

Voters in the El Rancho Unified School District (District) approved Measure “ER” on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Measure “ER”, a $200 million bond measure, was put on the ballot to modernize/rebuild El Rancho High School for the 21st Century, prepare students for jobs of the future, improve/expand science/career training labs, repair/improve neighborhood schools, including aging classrooms, roofs, restrooms, heating/air conditioning/electrical systems, strengthen school safety/security, and repair/acquire/construct school sites and facilities.

The District is in the process of recruiting individuals to serve on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee for Measure “ER”. The committee will be established to monitor all bond measure projects and expenditures, provide proper oversight, controls, and accountability to ensure that bond measure funds are used as they were intended, and make regular reports to the community on the progress of the bond measure projects.

Autism Awareness Month Celebration

April is Autism Awareness Month and the El Rancho Unified School District will be holding its third annual Autism Awareness Night on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Chuck E. Cheese. The celebration will include a visit from Chuck E. Cheese himself along with members of our school staff being present to help with the festivities. In order to accommodate the needs of our students, the restaurant will use sensory sensitive settings. This event allows our students to play in a safe and friendly environment that accommodates for their needs. Chuck E. Cheese is located at 6005 Rosemead Blvd, Pico Rivera.

7th Annual Spring Into Health Fair

Join us for this FREE community event as we promote health and education for the whole family. This is a great opportunity to learn more about local resources and the latest programs offered in the El Rancho Unified School District. Cash for College Workshop

El Rancho High School is hosting a Cash for College Workshop for high school seniors, college students and parents to apply for financial aid. Experts and volunteers will be available to assist families with completing the FAFSA, CA Dream Act Aplicatiuon, Cal Grant GPA Verification Form and/or CHAFEE Grant Application. Learn about scholarships, AB 540 and resources for students who are undocumented or have DACA status.

New Legislation - Voter Participation Rights Act

December 12, 2016

Dear ERUSD Community,

With the passage of the California Voter Participation Rights Act [Elec. Code § 14050, et seq.], the Legislature has indicated its interest in providing for the greatest possible voter participation in local elections, including school district Governing Board member elections. Voter turnout is generally greater for statewide elections than for special local elections including school district Governing Board member elections.
