In response to this incident, the ERUSD Board of Education has issued a formal statement demanding accountability and requesting an immediate federal investigation.

The District held a press conference on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Ruben Salazar High School to address the matter and reaffirm its commitment to student and community safety.
