Multi-Purpose Room Modernization and Shade Shelter Project
The El Rancho Unified School District is in full swing with a major modernization of the Multi-Purpose Rooms (MPR) at all eight elementary schools. These improvements aim to create more functional, engaging spaces for students and staff, while enhancing the overall appearance and usability of each campus.
Key upgrades include new LVT flooring, updated walls and ceilings, suspended ceilings with skylights, and refinished stages with Rivera Elementary receiving a new platform to ensure consistency across sites. Additional improvements feature digital projectors, monitors, upgraded sound systems, LED and stage lighting, and ramp-entry wheelchair lifts. The project also addresses ADA compliance, fire safety, HVAC upgrades, and modernized PA, bell, and clock systems, along with new lunch tables and built-in storage.
In addition to these indoor enhancements, the project includes the installation of 12 new permanent metal shade shelters across the elementary and middle schools, as well as Ruben Salazar High School. Each shelter will measure 20 by 40 feet and be color-coated to match the school’s theme, offering much-needed shaded outdoor space for student activities and lunchtime use.
