Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP)

ELOP

Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive expanded learning environment that fosters educational and enrichment opportunities for students and staff at all elementary schools. We value the partnership with parents, site administration, teachers, staff, and community to support the needs of our students.

What is ELOP

The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) began ERUSD in the 2023-24 school year. “Expanded learning” means after school, summer, or intersession learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. This program is intended to support qualified TK-6th grade students with free after school, inner session, and summer programs for a minimum of 9 hours of care each day (which includes the full instructional day). To qualify for ELOP, the student must be part of our Unduplicated Count which includes: Free and Reduced Meal Program; Foster Youth/Homeless; English Learners.
