Summer Reading Program for Kids and Teens

The County of Los Angeles Public Library will be offering a summer reading program for kids beginning Saturday, June 8, 2013.  On selected Saturdays throughout June, July and August, kids will have an opportunity to enjoy a puppet show, meet zoo animals, make a recipe book as well as sing and laugh while storytelling. 
The Library will also host a program for teens on selected Thursday s throughout June, July and August.  Teens will have a chance to create a painting using painters tape and paint, loom knit a beanie, learn gardening basics and other interesting events.
Come catch the summer reading fun at the Pico Rivera Express Library located at 9528 Beverly Boulevard, Pico Rivera.  Don’t forget to check out a variety of books including fairy tales and poems while you’re there.  Summer is a great time for your children to have fun with reading!
