Four El Rancho Unified School District elementary schools have been recognized this fall by two statewide school recognition programs.
Magee Academy of Arts & Sciences, Rio Vista Elementary, and Valencia Academy of the Arts were named 2026 California Honor Roll Star Schools by Educational Results Partnership (ERP). Now in its twelfth year, the Honor Roll recognizes public schools that have outperformed their peers in closing achievement gaps, particularly among higher-poverty and historically underserved student populations. Selections are based on student results on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), the state's annual tests in English language arts and math. This year, 2,080 California schools earned the distinction.
In addition, Birney Tech Academy, Magee Academy of Arts & Sciences, Rio Vista Elementary, and Valencia Academy of the Arts were named 2027 Best Elementary Schools by U.S. News & World Report.
The district congratulates the students, teachers, staff, and families at each school for their hard work and commitment to student success.

News & World Report.
