Quality Education Today for a Better Tomorrow — Dora Soto-Delgado, Interim Superintendent

Dear El Rancho Unified Families,

There is something special about the beginning of a new school year. Our campuses come alive again with the excitement of students returning, families walking through our gates, teachers welcoming new learners, and staff preparing for another year of possibilities. As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I am grateful for the opportunity to welcome our students, families, and staff back to El Rancho Unified.

After more than three decades in this District, I have had the privilege of experiencing many first days of school. While each year brings something different, the feeling remains the same. The excitement of a fresh start and the hope that this will be a year in which every student feels seen, valued, supported, and inspired.

At the heart of everything we do are relationships. Students need caring adults who believe in them. Families need to know that their schools are partners in their children's success. Our employees need to know that their contributions matter. And as a community, we need to continue looking out for one another.

This year, I hope we continue to create a culture where everyone feels that they belong and where every student is encouraged to discover their strengths, pursue their interests, learn from challenges, and believe in their own potential.

As we begin this new school year, let us remember what makes El Rancho who we are. We are rooted in tradition, fueled by pride, and always in pursuit of excellence. Our traditions remind us where we come from. Our pride reminds us that we belong to something special. Our pursuit of excellence challenges us to keep growing, improving, and moving forward.

I am honored to serve this community, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together. May this be a year filled with possibility, growth, meaningful relationships, and moments that remind us why El Rancho is home.

With gratitude,

Dora Soto-Delgado

Dora Soto-Delgado
