The El Rancho Unified School District opened the doors to a revitalized hub for student life with the grand opening of its newly renovated El Rancho High School gymnasium and launched the next phase of campus transformation with the groundbreaking of a state-of-the-art Science Building.
The celebration brought together students, families, educators, and local leaders for an afternoon of school pride, and a look ahead at the next chapter for El Rancho High School, located at 6501 Passons Blvd., Pico Rivera, Calif.

The newly renovated gymnasium provides a modern space for athletics, assemblies, and community events, serving as a central hub for student life and school pride. The upgraded facility will host sporting events, rallies, and celebrations for years to come.
Just steps away, district leaders and elected officials participated in a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Science Building, which will expand opportunities for students in STEM education and help prepare them for college and career pathways in high-demand fields.

During the program, Interim Superintendent Dora Soto-Delgado also shared the district's vision to further invest in student programs through the potential development of a new Performing Arts Center to replace the existing Little Theater at the high school.
The project would require additional community support through future bond funding and represents a continued commitment to expanding opportunities in the arts alongside academics and athletics.

El Distrito Escolar Unificado El Rancho inauguró oficialmente un renovado espacio central para la vida estudiantil con la apertura del gimnasio modernizado de El Rancho High School y marcó el comienzo de la próxima fase de transformación con la ceremonia de inicio de construcción del nuevo edificio de ciencias.
La celebración reunió a estudiantes, familias, educadores y líderes locales para una tarde de orgullo escolar y una mirada hacia el futuro de El Rancho High School, ubicada en 6501 Passons Blvd., Pico Rivera, California.

El gimnasio renovado ofrece ahora un espacio moderno para actividades deportivas, asambleas y eventos comunitarios, consolidándose como un punto central para la vida estudiantil y el orgullo escolar. La instalación modernizada albergará eventos deportivos, rallies y celebraciones durante muchos años.
A pocos pasos de distancia, líderes del distrito y funcionarios electos participaron en la ceremonia de inicio de construcción del nuevo edificio de ciencias, el cual ampliará las oportunidades para los estudiantes en educación STEM y ayudará a prepararlos para estudios universitarios y carreras en campos de alta demanda.

Durante el programa, la superintendente interina Dora Soto-Delgado también compartió la visión del distrito de continuar invirtiendo en programas estudiantiles mediante el posible desarrollo de un nuevo Centro de Artes Escénicas que reemplazaría el actual Little Theater de la preparatoria.
El proyecto requiere de apoyo adicional de la comunidad mediante futuras iniciativas de financiamiento y representa el compromiso continuo del distrito de ampliar las oportunidades en las artes junto con los programas académicos y deportivos.
