Measure ER

The Board of Education of the El Rancho Unified School District is committed to providing a modern learning environment in our schools with safe, secure and upgraded classrooms which attract and help retain qualified teachers and prepare our students for college and jobs of the future. To that end, the Board evaluated the District's urgent and critical facility needs, including safety issues, enrollment, class size reduction, and technology in developing the scope of projects to be funded, as outlined in the District's Student Centric Facilities Master Plan.

Measure "ER" will:

  • Modernize and transform El Rancho High School to 21st century educational standards.
  • Upgrade our schools to train students with modern skills for jobs of the future.
  • Repair leaky and aging roofs, remove asbestos and other hazardous materials, upgrade heating and air conditioning and replace outdated plumbing, wiring and sewer systems.
  • Improve school security and safety.
Measure "ER" Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

Voters in the El Rancho Unified School District (District) approved Measure “ER” on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.   Measure “ER”, a $200 million bond measure, was put on the ballot to modernize/rebuild El Rancho High School for the 21st Century, prepare students for jobs of the future, improve/expand science/career training labs, repair/improve neighborhood schools, including aging classrooms, roofs, restrooms, heating/air conditioning/electrical systems, strengthen school safety/security, and repair/acquire/construct school sites and facilities.

The District is in the process of recruiting individuals to serve on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee for Measure “ER”.  The committee will be established to monitor all bond measure projects and expenditures, provide proper oversight, controls, and accountability to ensure that bond measure funds are used as they were intended, and make regular reports to the community on the progress of the bond measure projects.
