Board of Education Honors Student

The El Rancho Unified School District Board of Education proudly recognized Adult Transition Program student, Andrew Jimenez, for winning 31 medals in gold, silver and bronze in swimming competition since 2012 and qualifying for the first time for the summer Special Olympics which will take place at Cal State Long Beach on June 13 & 14, 2015.

5th Annual Spring Into Health Fair

The El Rancho Unified School District will be hosting its 5th annual Spring Into Health Fair on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 9 am to 1 pm at the El Rancho Education Center, 9426 Marjorie Street, Pico Rivera. Join us for this FREE event as we promote health awareness and education for the whole family in a fun, supportive environment. Community partners will provide information on nutrition, health care, mental health services, women’s health, parenting, food services, dental care, children’s social services, sports, city resources, as well as bicycle safety checks, bike skills course, helmet fitting and much more. CHOICES – Youth Empowerment Conference

The CHOICES Youth Empowerment Conference hosted by the SPIRITT Family Services, Rio Hondo College, The Hispanic Outreach Taskforce and various organizations, will take place on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Rio Hondo College, 3600 Workman Mill Road in Whittier. El Rancho Unified School District students in grades 9-11 will attend this event. The goal of the Youth Conference is to have students leave with hope, empowerment, knowledge, self-worth, and a connection to a community that cares. The conference workshop topics include education, self-development/improvement, health, and career. The purpose is to build dreams and open doors for the hapless and at risk students in our communities.

Day for the Dons – One City One Team

Join celebrity football coaches and former professional athletes for a one-day football camp to learn the fundamentals of football in a fun and competitive environment. Cost of $35 per player for youths between the ages of 10-18 includes lunch and a camp t-shirt.

National Football Foundation Selects Vinnie Lopez as Coach of the Year

The El Rancho Unified School District Board of Education extends congratulations to Vinnie Lopez, El Rancho High School Varsity Football Head Coach, for being selected as the National Football Foundation Coach of the Year. This is an exceptional honor as there are 72 high schools in the San Gabriel/Pasadena Chapter that runs from Pasadena to Claremont and La Canada to Bell Gardens.
